Photography Holidays in Amalfi
The Amalfi coast is one of Italy’s top destinations. Stretching about 50km along the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula, the coast has the most breathtaking scenery of cliffs terraced with lemon groves, whitewashed villas clinging to the slopes and colours and views that are a photographer’s dream.
During the week-long holiday you will visit Positano, the town that tumbles down the cliffside, and beautiful Ravello and Amalfi, too, all wonderful locations for photography and sightseeing. Whatever your level of experience, our expert tutor will help you improve your photography skills.
Amalfi also has a reputation for great food, including San Marzano tomatoes straight off the vine and huge and aromatic lemons – which go into the local limoncello liqueur. You will eat and drink very well between photography sessions here in Amalfi.

Villa Accommodation
Terraced into the cliffs, our villas in Amalfi offer breathtaking views of the dramatic coastline and plenty of photographic inspiration, set amid their own lemon groves. All the villas have extensive private outdoor terraces with the turquoise waters of the Tyrrhenian sea sparkling below. It’s a perfect spot for snapping away, and also for long lunches al fresco or an aperitivo overlooking the view, or just a little sunbathing by the pool. The villa interiors are respectfully and beautifully restored, offering modern facilities. (Please bear in mind that given their cliffside locations, our Amalfi Coast villas do have a considerable number of steps.)
Photography Holiday in Amalfi - Itinerary
Day 1 (Saturday) - Arrival and group transfer to the villa.
Our Flavours transfer will meet you at Naples Airport and take you to the villa where you can settle in, meet your teacher and chef and enjoy welcome drinks. Dinner this evening is at the villa, prepared by your chef.
Day 2 (Sunday) - Your first photography session, and dinner at the villa.
Your first photography session to ease you into the week, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you will be set a small project to complete around the villa, and you will then chat about the results before dinner.
Day 3 (Monday) - Photography lesson and trip to Amalfi itself, for photography, sightseeing and lunch.
Following breakfast this morning, we’ll leave for Amalfi, a charming town, where you can capture some of its sights with your camera, with lunch at our favourite local restaurant. Later this afternoon we’ll return to the villa for dinner.
Day 4 (Tuesday) - Photography session, including food photography, and a relaxing afternoon.
Today’s lesson will take place after breakfast and will focus on photographing local produce and the dishes prepared by the chef for lunch. The afternoon is free to relax at the villa or by the pool. Dinner will be prepared for you at the villa by your chef.
Day 5 (Wednesday) - Photography at the villa, plus a visit to Ravello hilltop town.
This morning, you’ll have another photography lesson with your tutor, before lunch at the villa. Later in the afternoon, we will visit the stunning hilltop town of Ravello. Return to the villa for dinner this evening.
Day 6 (Thursday) - Photography lesson followed by a boat trip to Positano.
After breakfast, you’ll have some more time with your photography tutor, followed by lunch. Later this afternoon, we will take the ‘traghetto’ boat from Amalfi to Positano. Spend some time exploring this charming town, before dinner in our favourite local trattoria.
Day 7 (Friday) - Final photography session, slideshow and farewell dinner.
Your final photography lesson at the villa will be followed by lunch. Enjoy your afternoon relaxing by the pool or in the grounds of the villa. In the evening, share your best photos from the week with the group, before a special farewell dinner.
Day 8 (Saturday) - Breakfast, then group transport to the airport.
After breakfast, our transfer will take you back to Naples Airport for your onward journey.
* Please note that due to the cliffside location of the villa and towns included in the excursions for this itinerary, there is a considerable number of steps (some without handrails), therefore this destination may cause difficulties for guests with any mobility restrictions. * Please note the itinerary is subject to change depending on the weather.
