Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Morocco!
Welcome to Morocco! You will arrive at the villa where you can settle in, meet your art tutor and host, and host and enjoy welcome drinks. Dinner this evening is at the villa, prepared by your chef.
Day 2 - Your first painting session
This morning you have your first sketching and painting session with your teacher. In order to draw, the artist must “see” and your teacher will get you “seeing” and drawing with some practical exercises in beautiful surroundings! The session will be followed by lunch prepared by your chef. The afternoon is yours to continue sketching and painting, or to relax by the pool. Dinner is prepared for you at the villa.
Day 3 - Visit to the Anima sculpture park with lunch in the mountains
After breakfast, we will head to the Anima sculpture park near the town of Ourika. A morning sketching and drawing inspiration for your later works. We will then head into the lower Atlas for lunch at Kasbah Bab Ourika an oasis of calm in the mountains with 360 degree panoramic views and beautiful manicured gardens to explore and sketch. You will return to the villa late afternoon. Dinner will be served at the villa this
Day 4 - Day at the villa with optional massage
A full work day ! Time to start creating ahead of the end week exhibition. Lunch will be at the villa and for anyone wanting a break , a time to indulge yourself with a Moroccan Hammam massage. ( extra cost ). This evening we will be heading back into Marrakech for dinner at the all women run restaurant Sahbi Sahbi – a jubilant celebration of dining and all the rituals, traditions and connections that come with it.
Day 5 - Visit to the Majorelle Gardens, plus optional visit to the Yves Saint Laurent museum
After breakfast, we will be heading into Marrakech to explore the souks, sketching on location or for those of you who haven’t been, a visit to the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. Lunch will be in the city at one of our favourite lunch spots. You will return to the villa late afternoon. Dinner will be served at the villa this evening.
Day 6 - Visit to Lake Takerkoust with lunch
After breakfast, we will be heading back into the lower Atlas and a visit to Lake Takerkoust. There we will be able to continue our work and take a leisurely lunch. You will return to the villa late afternoon. Dinner tonight will be prepared by your chef at the villa.
Day 7 - Day at the villa finishing off your art projects
Your final day will be spent adding the finishing touches to your work from throughout the week, ready for this evenings exhibition. Lunch will be provided at the villa. The afternoon is yours to do as you please. A special farewell dinner will be prepared by your chef at the villa this evening.
Day 8 - Goodbye Morocco, until next time
After breakfast our driver will collect you and take you back to Marrakech airport for your flight home.
