You will spend five days exploring the local area, visiting ancient towns and villages nearby, and relaxing at your beautiful villa. Enjoy the fruits of your labour from your cooking lessons with ‘Cenone di Capodanno’ – a traditional New Year’s Eve dinner.

On New Year’s Day, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then a visit to the baroque town of Modica to enjoy dinner out.

Your Accommodation

Villa Aragonese, this elegant and historical villa is an old fishing tower, placed in the heart of the rural region of Modica on the Byzantine plateaus of the Iblei’s. Uninhabited for over fifty years, after meticulous restoration work the villa has finally reached its original splendour.

Rich with family history and authentic character that has preserved this beloved tower from past ages, the villa is marked by characteristic “dry” stone walls (muri a siccu). Featuring views of the sea and surrounding environment, visitors can indulge in the corner of Sicily bursting with art, history, landscapes and nature.

We have found the best flight options for you to book that will meet our complimentary transfer from Catania Fontanarossa Airport. Please see the details below to help with your travel plans:

On the first day of your holiday your transfer driver will meet you in the arrivals hall of Catania Fontanarossa Airport at 12.30pm ( For your arrival, London Gatwick Airport either Easyjet or London Luton with Easyjet are good options)
On the final day of your holiday, you will be collected and taken back in time for flights departing from Catania Fontanarossa Airport after 12pm (London Gatwick Airport is a good option)

Itinerary

Wednesday 29th December -

Benvenuti! Welcome to Sicily! You will find your Flavours driver waiting for the group with a sign that says ‘Flavours’ at the agreed meeting point. Once the group is all together, you will be taken by private minibus in our group transfer to the villa where you can settle in, meet your chef and host and enjoy welcome drinks and a light lunch, prepared by your chef. In the afternoon, join your chef in the kitchen for your first cooking lesson and enjoy the results for dinner.

Thursday 30th December -

After breakfast, you will be heading to Noto to explore this stunning Baroque Town and then we will visit a local vineyard to for wine tasting, tour and lunch. You will return to the villa for another cooking lesson with your chef preparing your dinner for that evening.

Friday 31st December (New Year's Eve) -

After breakfast, we will make our way to Scicli, the town famous for the Montalbano series and explore the local area. Return to the villa for lunch and then to get ready for “Capodanno” party and the arrival of 2024!

Saturday 1st January (New Year's Day) -

We will welcome New Year with leisurely brunch and then in afternoon we will visit Modica, You will have time to explore this historical town and then enjoy dinner at a local trattoria.
