Imagine stepping into a rustic Italian kitchen where the air is filled with the tantalising aroma of fresh herbs, garlic, and tomatoes simmering on the stove. Cilento, the birthplace of the Mediterranean diet, offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the art of Italian cooking. Here, surrounded by olive groves and lemon trees, you will uncover the secrets of simple yet sensational dishes passed down through generations.
Under the guidance of local chefs, you will learn to transform the freshest ingredients into authentic Cilentan recipes. From hand-rolling pasta to crafting the perfect bruschetta, every step is a feast for the senses. Picture yourself kneading dough while gazing out over the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea, or preparing traditional dishes in a charming farmhouse kitchen. This is more than just a cooking experience; it is a celebration of Cilento’s rich culinary heritage.
Between cooking sessions, explore vibrant food markets brimming with sun-ripened produce, fragrant spices, and creamy buffalo mozzarella. Savour olive oils pressed from centuries-old groves and sip on local wines that perfectly complement the region’s flavours. This is your chance to slow down, savour the moment, and truly embrace the joy of cooking in one of Italy’s most beautiful and unspoiled regions.
