Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - Friday - Welcome to Morocco!

Arrive at Marrakech airport and once the group is all together, you will be taken by private minibus in our group transfer to the villa where you can settle in, meet your hosts, and enjoy welcome drinks. Dinner this evening is at the villa, prepared by your chef.

Day 2 - Saturday - Your first photography session

After breakfast, you will have your first photography session to ease you into the week, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you will be given a small project to complete within the grounds of the villa: pre-dinner drinks and a chance to discuss the results of the project with your tutor and the group. Dinner will be at the villa.

Day 3 - Sunday - Marrakech Medina

After breakfast, we will head into Marrakech. Here you will have endless opportunities to capture the essence of this wonderful city. With a local guide, we will start in the famous Jemma el-Fnaa square before venturing deeper into the Souk where we will seek to capture the colours and sights of this bustling market. There will be plenty of shopping opportunities and we will have lunch at one of our favourite spots in the medina before returning to the villa late afternoon.
Dinner will be served at the villa this evening.

Day 4 - Monday - Anima Gardens

After breakfast, we will head to a local sculpture park set in the foothills of the Atlas mountains. You will be set a project by your tutor. Enjoy coffee in the roof top café with uninterrupted views to the mountains. Returning early afternoon to the villa for a late lunch, the remainder of the afternoon will be yours to relax by the pool before dinner in the evening.

Day 5 - Tuesday - Lake Takerkoust

Today after a leisurely breakfast, we will be heading into the Agafay dessert and a visit to Lake Takerkoust. Set in the foothills of the lower Atlas, the man-made lake was created in 1929 to capture snow-melt water and provide electricity to Marrakech and its surroundings. Lunch will be at a beautiful lakeside restaurant. We will return to the villa in the late afternoon, and dinner will be at the villa this evening.

Day 6 - Wednesday - Relaxation day

Today is a day of relaxation and a chance to enjoy the Moroccan sunshine and perhaps a Hammam or massage at the villa ( extra cost for treatments paid locally in your choice of Dirhams or Euros ). Lunch will be at the villa.
For those of you wanting to do a little more shopping, we can organise for the driver to take you back into the Medina in the afternoon. Dinner will be at the villa.

Day 7 -Thursday - Majorelle Gardens

We will make a final trip back to Marrakech after breakfast. We will visit the famous Majorelle Gardens and there will also be an option for those of you keen to visit the Yves Saint Laurent Museum ( optional cost for YSL museum ). Near the gardens, are some nice shops to explore and a coffee shop to enjoy a local Nous Nous ( Moroccan cappuccino ). We will return to the villa for a late lunch.
For your farewell dinner this evening we will be heading back into the Agafay dessert in time to catch the sunset before dinner at a desert camp followed by a fire show.

Day 8 - Friday - Goodbye Morocco, until next time

After breakfast, the group transfer(s) will collect you and take you back to Marrakech airport for your flight home.
