Mezcla by Ixta Belfrage
On the hunt for the perfect foodie gift? Mezcla caught our eye with its beautiful pink and orange cover, and the recipes inside are just as vibrant. Food writer and co-writer of Ottolenghi Flavour, Ixta Belfrage, cooks up a storm with a wealth of recipes inspired by Italy, Brazil, Mexico and beyond. Hence the name ‘Mezcla’, which is Spanish for ‘mix’. Be transported across the globe with dishes such as a giant cheese on toast with honey and urfa butter, and prawn lasagne with habanero oil.

Anyone with a sweet tooth will fall head over heels for Anna Higham’s dessert-focused cookbook. Anna is the executive pastry chef at one of our favourite Italian restaurants, The River Cafe, and The Last Bite offers lick-the-plate-clean recipes inspired by seasonal fruits. It’s filled with lots of handy tips and advice, from the art of seasoning to how to prepare each fruit, and includes over 150 recipes for tarts, cakes, jams, mousses, and more.

5 Ingredients Mediterranean by Jamie Oliver
One of our favourite Italian chefs Jamie Oliver has returned with his famous five-ingredient cookbook concept – this time with a focus on Mediterranean cooking. Featuring well over 125 easy and affordable recipes inside, we love this book for helping make everyday cooking more exciting. Chapters include salads, soups and sarnies, pasta, veg, pies, seafood, fish, chicken and duck, meat, and sweet things.
