Painting Holidays in Venice
Historic and beautiful Venice is the perfect place for a painting holiday in Italy. Let the splendour of Venetian canals, bridges and baroque architecture inspire you. Venice is a city surrounded by water and the medium of watercolour can really help you to capture the fluidity of the city. Our villa is away from the hustle and bustle situated in the wine region of the Veneto near Treviso, surrounded by rolling green hills and local vineyards. Venice offers a lot of inspiration for painters and the fertile countryside of the region lends itself to landscape painting.
No matter your level of expertise, our experienced tutors will guide you through your lessons for the week, so that beginners and advanced painters will all come home with paintings to be proud of. With a sketchbook, easels and boards provided, all of the big details are taken care of for you, and Flavours will provide you with a handy list of painting materials to bring with you for your trip.
It is a great place to escape to and a little haven of peace in which to dwell for a while.

Painting in Venice - Itinerary
Day 1 (Saturday) - Group transfer to the villa.
Our Flavours transfer will meet you at Marco Polo Airport and take you to the villa for welcome drinks on the terrace followed by dinner prepared by our local chef.
Day 2 (Sunday) - An introduction to watercolour techniques.
After breakfast, you will have your first painting session, with an introduction to watercolour, looking at basic techniques, different kinds of paper and brushes, etc. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to continue painting or relax by the pool. Dinner will be prepared for you at the villa.
Day 3 (Monday) - Enjoy a day trip to Venice for some sketching and painting.
An excursion to Venice with a chance to explore this iconic city and paint or draw on location. Enjoy lunch at a typical Bacaro in the heart of the city. Later this afternoon, you will return to the villa for dinner.
Day 4 (Tuesday) - Spend the morning with the painting tutor, developing your work at the villa.
A leisurely morning to spend with the painting tutor, developing your work at the villa. For the rest of your day, you are free to paint or relax by the pool. Dinner will be at the villa.
Day 5 (Wednesday) - Lunch at the villa followed by a trip to Treviso.
Today you will have more time to continue your artwork before lunch at the villa. In the late afternoon, you will go to Treviso. Here you will have time for some sight-seeing and sketching before dinner in our favourite local trattoria.
Day 6 (Thursday) - Spend the morning Painting before heading off for a private wine tasting.
After breakfast, you will have time to continue painting followed by lunch. In the afternoon, the group will drive to Conegliano (the home of Prosecco). Here you will enjoy a private wine tasting. Later returning to the villa for dinner.
Day 7 (Friday) - A day to paint followed by a special farewell dinner at the villa.
After breakfast, you will have time to continue painting followed by lunch. In the evening, the chef will prepare a farewell dinner followed by a group exhibition of work from throughout the week.
Day 8 (Saturday) - Group transfer to the Airport.
After breakfast, our transfer will collect you and take you back to Marco Polo Airport for your fight home. Arrivederci!
